One week to the move. One week to assignment deadlines. Two weeks to exams. No time to shop!! arghhh!

A Secret Society of Vegans? Sort of... I do quite like their desktop wallpaper and they sell aprons and t-shirts too. They also have a podcast but I haven't had a chance to check that out yet due to having ye olde ipod which wont accept them. *sigh* I was once so technologically advanced but, alas, no more.

Don't know if anyone else has seen Lifescape magazine but I finally found a real copy of it in WH Smiths. They are up to issue 7 now but I have not seen it in any shops until two days ago. As is so typical I had no money on me so couldn't buy it but I had a flick. Looks good and has full spread colour photoshoots with animal friendly products. Can't be sure that it is 100% vegan but a large percentage is.

Have played around with the colour of the links as I have noticed that it is not always obvious when I link to something in the text (due to garish pink backdrop, I know, but it is here to stay). Let me know if it is any better or worse. I think I have given myself some sort of finger strain from recent updates to this site and constant online shopping and browsing. I kid you not. RSI in my right index finger. I thought I was developing some sort of arthritic joint until I worked out it was from not having a mouse and using the ridiculous pad on the lap top...

Finally had a chance to check out the bags! Doctors bag may actually have potential as it is quite long and wide on the base although realistically perhaps a rolled up magazine and a scattering of lip gloss and empty crisp packets (hmmm...am I giving away too much about myself?) is what will fit in it. I will have to take the stethoscope (and sphygmomanometer!) with me to see if it fits...I did actually take the stethoscope with me shopping last year to ensure that it went with a particular outfit I wanted to wear for an exam so it is quite used to outings. Pink bag is garishly spectacular in the flesh.

Am momentarily veering away from clothes, bags and shoes and onto kitchen and household goods due to impending move. The budget for gorgeous new furniture and appliances does not quite stretch to the Kitchen Aid to the left but I am desperately trying to save on essentials so that I can spend frivilously on a mixer. I truly think it is essential especially as the first thing I have promised myself to make on it are vegan marshmallows.

8th May

Feeling uninspired by shopping at the moment. It is all very disappointing. I can't tell whether it is a seasonal issue (in that there is nothing new and exciting coming in) or if it is just me. I haven't even managed to find the time to get down to Marks and Spencers and check out those bags although I have decided that an electric blue leotard would look SO much better sticking out of the pink bag than a pink leotard. mmmmm

On the up side today was my first day of a 17 week training program to get ready for a half marathon in September. Sounds very impressive but day one consisted of a 40 minute walk. I managed it admirably. Therefore todays link is for the training program I am using to get myself ready...just in case anyone cares to join me.

2nd May

I have just spent a couple of hours updating and reorganising the few pages I have and the most depressing thing is...it isn't noticeable!

The rather 80's looking pink bag (£10!!) seems to be screaming out for a pair of leg warmers and a pink leotard to be coming out the top of it. I have a lovely pair of pink sparkly leg warmers that I got from Accessorize at Christmas that would go with it perfectly...that is if I didn't just hide my leg warmers under my jeans.

The "Doctor's" bag I will have if it fits a stethoscope. I suspect it probably wont.
