The christmas recipe page took longer than anticipated to get up but that is more because I decide don't like the aesthetics of it or I don't like the navigation around it...still not happy with it but it is up anyway! However, at the moment I am just too excited as I am off on a birthday trip to London this weekend and one of the highlights will be the Christmas without cruelty fayre. I haven't been to one for 5 or 6 years and am hugely looking forward to it...although I must confess I am looking forward to all the other shops and restaurants in London too. Will be back with my haul soon!In the meantime here is a list of my top 5 christmas gifts in no particular order and for no other reason than my brother may be wondering what to get me and it drops some unsubtle hints!
My top 5 Christmas gifts (for me at least!)
Vegan cupcakes cookbook: Look at the pictures!!
Vegan lunchbox book: Because it's not just kids that need a lunchbox.
Guitar Hero II: Rock on!!
Nintendo Wii:Crazy game play which involves leaping around the living room. Really.
Bourgeois boheme gift certificate:Too much to choose just one item

I have been transferring some recipes that I had on my old blog onto this one. I have just added vegan macaroon bars and am working on a yule page. Hope to have it up by the end of the day

Today's shopfest is all about the bling! I'm not a fanatical jewellery wearer but there are occasions where a pair of ridiculously dangly earrings are required. The high street has a great selection but there are also smaller companies out there who offer recycled and fairtrade adornements. I present, for your perusal, all kinds of spangly delights!

Yes, I have skipped an entire month because sometimes we all need some 'me' time. I have started the great Christmas shopping search though and to start us all off I thought I would go for a selection of potential winter boots. The two main contenders are Bourgeois Boheme and Veganstore. They both have a range of winter boots although Bourgeois boheme tend to favour the knee length boot and veganstore ankle ones (although neither exclusively). Where you shop for your boots depends on what you want out of them. If you want more of a walking style winter boot then Ethical Wares is a good place to look. Other companies include Vegetarian Shoes, Green Shoes, Alternative Outfitters...give me time and I'll remember more! I have to confess though that although there are practical boots for sale I am somehow always lured towards the slightly impractical. Stiletto heels and ice do not make an ideal combination!

So, as you can see, not all the most practical. I should also add that on the side bar are two new Animal rights tees from VVF and Viva! Both come in different styles (both loose and close fitting tees) and slightly different colours so if you think green just is NOT your colour then they also have a gorgeous brown one.
